Brochure Printing and Design

A brochure promotes your company’s products and services. A brochure also acts as your salesperson, ready to relay information to potential customers or clients when you are not there to do so. If you were to hire someone to do this job, you would want them to be as professional and clear on message as you are. The same is true for your brochures.

Although images are helpful for catching attention, the content of your brochure is just as important as if you were there giving a sales pitch to a client. When creating an effective brochure, it is important to gather all of your informational text and graphics beforehand. As with any printing project, the design process requires an efficient layout design which uses as much information as possible without overcrowding or creating confusion. Alpha Solutions will provide a free electronic (PDF) final proof for approval before any printing is done.

Before printing brochures, you must consider what your goal is. Are you selling a product or service? Are you trying to inform people of an event or place?  Establishing you primary goal will help develop the best over all look and feel of your brochure. Developing the content is much simpler when the theme is in place. Content should include information about what, how, and who is involved and what the benefits of the products and/or services are.

There are many effective ways to print brochure content. As long as it is presented simply and clearly, it will help the reader quickly scan through information. Being required to read through extensive detail text commonly results in the brochure being left unread.

All of your content should be streamlined, excited, confident, and persuasive. If the reader regards the brochure as being clear and concise, they will be more confident to take action and will follow through.

Another consideration to decide on during the brochure design process is the fold layout. Will it be a tri-fold brochure which creates six panels or will it be a two-fold, which creates four panels? Whichever you decide, the front panel should be the most simple and direct, with an eye catching design. Keep in mind that normally, brochures are kept in a brochure holder which sometimes hides the bottom half of the front panel. This means that your design should use the top half of the front paney very wisely. Most of the detail content of the printed brochure should be on the inside panels. The very back panel should include contact information.
